Founded in 2025 from years of ideas, thoughts and plans.. Southern Model Railway was launched.

We are a father and son run business, we both have a passion for modern railways, with freight at the forefront for us both.

We have an extensive model railway layout which has undergone several changes over the past 5 years, we are both always full of new ideas.

The main focus of Southern Model Railway, is to offer lower value, older model railways items to the general public via our vast online store (with UK postage) and in person at model railway shows & exhibitions across the South. We aim to keep this hobby affordable and accessible to our younger generation. 

Together our aim is to provide a quality service and products to the public.

At present we work part time from our home office, with no shop front - currently just online sales and sales at shows, the future plan is to run our own high street model shop, specialising in model railways.
